It is hard to find a good Octant. This one is great, with all the glasses etc intact. The ivory scale is in good condition and readable (many are so worn that you cannot read the scale) The box is original and includes a hook and clasp to keep it closed along with a key hole (I do not have the key). The sticker inside the lid indicates that it was once sold in Nova Scotia, so the Octant is probably English. I do not believe the bottom of the box is original, but it fits and looks nice.
