This is an unusual early hand made "Marconi" rigged sloop with a bow sprit. The bow sprit was used to balance off the rather large main sail. Note the unusual shape of the keel. The hull seems to be of "plank on frame" construction. The sails seem to be original. The deck has been restored and the lines have been replaced. Bow sprit has been repaired but is original. Note the "running back stays". The brass fittings on the deck are hand made. The deck step goes all the way down to the keel. Note the mast is "two pieces" and held together with a steel pin. Probably the builder could not find a piece of wood long enough for a full length mast.
Size: 40" from tip of bow sprit to end of the boom and 51" from the tip of the mast to the bottom of the cradle. Beam is 7 1/2".
