Half Hull - Ranger

Large Half Hull of the Americas Cup Yacht "Ranger" She was the America's Cup Yacht that was sailed  in 1937.  Actual age of the model is unknown, but my guess would be around that period.  She was designed by Olin Stephens and Starling Burgess of Sparkman & Stephens, and built by the Bath Iron Works in Maine. She was known as the first of the Super J Boats.

Ranger was 135 ft long, had a beam of 21 feet and drew 15 feet of water.

This is a great model, and to scale. However, the finish is poor and needs redoing. (the original boat had a white hull and red bottom) When refinished however this would be one great model! - and at a very reasonable price.

Size: Back board size - 78" X 26" - boat size 67.5" from stern to bow X 10.75" from bottom of keel to sheer
