This is a wonderful diorama of a three masted Bark. The name of the Bark is unknown, but the age looks to be early to mid 1800's. This diorama is unique because of the detail in the rigging. In addition, it has not only the large bark, but also two smaller boats - one pilot boat and one tug.
The model is in original condition, with metal (tin) sails. There are a total of 35 sails on the bark, and 10 on the pilot boat. The rigging is 100% accurate, is all in tact and in great condition. Paint on the sails is flaking, showing its age.
Glass frame is "old" but probably not original to the diorama.
