Clocks & Brass: English Round style Barometer

This is a nice old (circa 1850) English barometer with a temperature gage. The face shows that it was made by J&E Pastorell, 4 Crafts St. Hutton Gardens. It has a hollowed out case taht opens in the back to house the mercury and accessories. The hinges and clasp are original to the case. The mercury and temperature gage seem to be intact. By the way, it is legal to sell antique barometers with mercury in the State of Maine.
